Nancy Cunard (British, 1896-1965) was a poet, publisher, journalist, and activist. While born in London, she spent most of her life in France. She established the Hours Press in Normandy in the late 1920s, wrote for a variety of newspapers, and published several collections of poetry. Nous Gens D'Espagne [We People of Spain] is a collection of poems Cunard wrote in French at the end of WWII following her time as a freelance journalist during the Spanish Civil War working in both Spain and Perpignan, France.

Wraps with toning and edge wear, including some small tears and chipping at one corner; area of ink transfer to back cover; leaves with darkening at edges and spotting throughout.
