Artist's Statement:
"I work in the tradition of modernist abstraction. That is, I rely on the form of painting to convey its content. By form I mean the relationships of the various visual elements, such as color, values, textures and space. In this postmodern environment I realize that my ideas may seem antiquated and irrelevant. However, I still believe that abstract painting has the capacity to express the complex nature of the human drama we call life."
Good estate condition, slight damp staining to lower verso of panel not impacting composition, abrasion to the verso panel.
