From the Collection of Sylvia Kerckhoff, first female mayor of Durham, North Carolina (1993-1997) Priscilla grew up in Bronxville, New York. She began her formal school training at Ohio State University, with a major in fine arts with studies in ceramics, and a minor in chemistry. Her graduate work was done at Cranbrook Academy of Art, in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. The next year Priscilla married John Kapel, a design student at Cranbrook. They moved from New York to California and started a family. Good friend and metal sculptor, Ernesto Gonzales, mentored Priscilla in the art of welding and metal sculpture. The Castle can be found in the Upper East Side of New York City at 985 Fifth Avenue.
Priscilla later a studied Touch for Health, massage and bodywork, psychology, counseling, and biochemistry, eventually founding Bioenergy Balancing Center in Paolo Alto, California.
Good condition; minor areas of rubbing and surface abrasions to metal.
