From the Estate of the late Jacquelyn R. Nouveau, Chapel Hill, North Carolina

Founded in 1988, Kaross fosters the production of embroidered items made by the rural Tsonga and Northern Sotho people in the Letsitele/Giyani area of South Africa. Their creations bring these women and men an income that helps provide for food, schooling, and medicine for their families. A traditional South African craft, the embroideries made by the Kaross group of embroiderers reflect the bright colors, patterns, and motifs found all around them, from everyday life tasks to animals and the natural world.

Good estate condition.
