The lot also includes Bernard Leach's Drawings, Verse & Belief (UK: Adams & Dart, 1973) (Expected age wear, previous owner's name on front free endpaper, jacket with tears, small losses, light marks, and toned spine).

When ceramic artist Sally Bowen Prange (NC, 1927-2007) and family lived in England for a year in 1968, Sally visited Bernard Leach at his studio, and acquired this work from the artist.

Bernard Leach was born in Hong Kong and studied art in both London and Japan. He formed Leach Pottery in 1920 in St. Ives in Cornwall, England.
