An Indian Bronze Sculpture of Shiva Nataraja

19th or 20th century, the Hindu god Shiva is depicted performing his dance of destruction which leads to rebirth of the world, he is surrounded by a circular halo of flames, he stands atop a demon representing conquering ignorance, the entire sculpture is raised on a tiered rectangular base surmounted by lotus petals.

9 1/2 x 8 1/4 x 3 1/4 in.

Good estate condition; nice verdigris to base.
