Watercolor on ivory, unsigned, the first of a blue eyed fair haired gent, circa 1830s, attired in high collared shirt with black stock, black waistcoat, against a red curtain background; the second of a dark haired gent, circa 1810, wearing white cravat, set against a sky ground, both presented behind glass in 19th century leather wrapped cases with oval ormolu matting.

Case sizes 3 1/4 x 2 3/4 x 1/2 in. and 4 1/2 x 3 7/8 x 1 in.

Cased with surface scuffs, marks, and general wear; the smaller portrait with some areas of the background with possible retouch.
