Second quarter 19th century, watercolor on ivory, unsigned, smaller depicting a curly dark haired and brown eyed officer, likely British infantry, attired in red coat and black stock against an umber ground; the larger a half length portrait of dark haired gent attired in Dragoon Guards patrol jacket rendered against a sky gradient. Both presented behind glass in period leather wrapped travel cases.

Case sizes 2 3/8 x 2 x 3/4 in. and 4 1/4 x 3 3/4 x 3/4 in.
