19th century, carved teakwood with pigments, horses are crafted with front legs raised, mask head with tassel at front of reigns, floral patterns and medallions to saddle and reigns, raised knobs to mane and back of saddle, open mouths with teeth and tongue showing, a curling fancy feather is featured between the alert ears at top of each head, each horse is raised on a shaped wood pole set into a square base that may originally have had wheels.
DOA, Each with stand 71 x 23 x 61 in.
Some loss to pigments; some cracks with scattered stress cracks to wood; some nicks and losses to edges; break with loss to both tails at end; one horse with loss of knob to mane and back of saddle.
