Late 19th century, with hand-chased foliate handles, feet, and finial, engraved to the lid "Fulton DeKalb Shrine / Horse Show / The Ben Holtzendorf Challenge Trophy"; and to the base "Fulton DeKalb / Shrine Horse Show / 1946 / Challenge Trophy / Three Gaited Stake"; the verso with winning horses from 1946 to 1965, armorial monogram to lid.
