Ca. late 20th century, matte copper raku glaze, to include an ovoid vase with stamped and slip trail decoration (12 1/2 in. tall), and a bud vase with slip dots and slip trail decoration (6 in. tall); the first signed "K Gonzalez" and the latter signed "KG" to the underside.
From the Collection of Lise & Eddie Cooke, Summerfield, North Carolina Kerry Gonzalez is a Winston Salem, NC-based potter known for creating raku vessels in a variety of forms decorated with his signature iridescent copper glaze.
The ovoid vase with scattered white marks, glaze crazing, and hairlines on and around slip decoration; the bud vase with some light scuffs and scratches, and the slip decoration with some scattered hairlines including one with an associated tiny chip; good estate condition.
