Designed by John Moses Browning, was introduced in 1890 as Winchester's first successful slide-action rifle. It was specifically chambered for the .22 Winchester Rimfire (WRF) cartridge and was marketed for small game hunting and target shooting. Known for its rugged design and smooth operation, the Model 1890 featured a tubular magazine and an exposed hammer. It remained in production until 1941, with over 849,000 units manufactured, becoming a beloved classic among collectors and shooting enthusiasts for its craftsmanship and historical significance.

Overall good estate condition, blued barrel and action show wear most notably on the action which possesses a silver coin patina, overall old gun patina elsewhere, stock finish is somewhat worn from handling, scattered moderate blemishes in stock, bore is bright.
