Second half 19th century, patinated bronze, manner of Jean Francois Theodore Gechter (French, 1796-1844), unsigned, depicting a Renaissance soldier with plumed morion supporting a central rising flag festooned with two shields and four naturalistic fruiting laurel branch arms each with conforming nozzle and drip pan, mounted atop a stepped slate and bronze mounted base.
