The first, a William IV silver mug, mark of William Knight II, London (1834), footed form featuring a foliate handle and central cartouche engraved "Bessie Niven / From / Her Father / 1851 / For Her Principal / of / Teetotalism"; the second, a sterling silver mug, with mark of Jenkins & Jenkins, Inc., pattern number 70, with allover hand chased foliate motifs, engraved "E.A.K. / From / B.H.G./ Sept. 17th 1918"; and a sterling silver creamer, mark of Whiting, pattern number 1445H, retail mark of Theodore B. Starr, featuring a twisted handle, hand chased foliate decoration, and a scalloped rim, without a monogram.
