British School (Late 18th Century), Miniature Portraits of a Couple

Watercolor on ivory, unsigned, presumably depicting a 1790s couple, the first a blue eye lady with powdered hair a flowing chemise, the second of a wigged gentleman attired in blue coat with white waistcoat and cravat, each presented in restored ebonized frames with gilt bezels and cast hangers.

Miniature 1 7/8 x 1 1/2 in.; frame 5 x 4 in.
